Account Information
When you register, we collect your full name, email address, mobile phone number, and city/state. This is required to create and manage your account and provide our booking services.
Booking Information
When you make a booking, we collect event details such as the event type (e.g., Akhand Path, Gurpurab, Anand Karaj), preferred date and time, location, and any special instructions you provide.
Location Data
With your permission, we collect your city and state to show Raagis near you. We do not track your precise GPS coordinates continuously — location is only used to improve search relevance and match you with appropriate Raagis.
Device & Usage Data
We may collect device identifiers, app version, and crash logs solely for debugging and improving app stability. This data is never sold or shared with third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
Matching & Bookings
Your name, phone number, city, and event details are shared with the Raagi you book, so they can confirm availability and prepare for your event appropriately.
Admin Review
Our admin team reviews booking requests to ensure every engagement is appropriate, respectful, and in accordance with Sikh religious standards. Admins can view booking details and user information for this purpose only.
Communication
We use your email and phone number to send booking confirmations, status updates, OTP codes, and important account notifications. We do not send promotional emails without your explicit consent.
Platform Improvement
Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be used to understand how the platform is used and improve features. No personally identifiable information is used for analytics without consent.
3. Information Sharing
With Raagis
When a booking is confirmed, the Raagi receives your name, contact number, city, and event details. Raagis are bound by our code of conduct and may only use this information to fulfill the specific booking.
With Our Admin Team
Book My Raagi's internal admin team can access account and booking data to verify profiles, resolve disputes, process approvals, and ensure platform integrity.
No Third-Party Sales
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third-party companies, advertisers, or data brokers — ever. This is a fundamental commitment.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by applicable law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of users or the general public.
4. Payments & Financial Data
No Card Storage
Book My Raagi does not store credit card, debit card, or net-banking credentials on our servers. All payment processing is handled by trusted third-party payment gateways (Razorpay) which are PCI-DSS compliant.
Booking Fees
Advance amounts and total booking fees are displayed transparently before you confirm. All fees are clearly communicated prior to any payment being processed.
Refunds
Refund eligibility is determined by our cancellation policy. Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method. Contact [email protected] for all refund inquiries.
5. Data Security
Encryption
All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Sensitive fields such as passwords are stored as one-way cryptographic hashes — we cannot read or recover them.
Access Controls
Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only. Admins follow strict internal access policies and all data access is logged for audit purposes.
Account Security
Your account is protected by OTP-based or password-based authentication. We strongly recommend not sharing your OTP, password, or login credentials with anyone, including our support team — we will never ask for them.
Breach Notification
In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your account, we will notify you promptly via your registered email and take immediate corrective action in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
6. Your Rights
Access & Correction
You may view and update your account information at any time from the Profile section of the app. If you find inaccurate data that cannot be corrected through the app, please contact our support team.
Data Deletion
You can request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing [email protected]. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
Opt-Out of Notifications
You may manage notification preferences from your device settings. However, transactional messages (booking confirmations, OTPs, payment receipts) cannot be disabled as they are essential for service delivery.
Data Portability
You may request a copy of your personal data in a machine-readable format by writing to us at [email protected] with the subject "Data Portability Request."
7. Data Retention
Active Accounts
Personal data is retained for as long as your account is active. We retain only what is necessary to provide our services to you effectively.
After Deletion
Upon account deletion, your personal data is permanently removed from our active databases within 30 days. Anonymized booking records (with no personal identifiers) may be retained for legal or financial compliance purposes.
Backup Retention
Encrypted backups may retain data for up to 90 days after deletion for disaster recovery purposes. These backups are inaccessible for regular operational use.
8. Children's Privacy
Age Requirement
Book My Raagi is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18.
